Coin Signals (Jeremy Spence case)

Fake Results Verified Scam
$5,000,000 reported lost Reported Aug 15, 2026 Source: U.S. Department of Justice, Southern District of New York

The operator of a crypto signal and fund service promoted through social channels and chat groups was sentenced to 42 months in prison in May 2022. He told followers one of his funds had returned 148% in a month; his trading was consistently unprofitable throughout. Fake account balances hid the losses, and payouts advertised as profits came from newer investors' deposits. More than 170 people put in over $5 million; restitution was set at roughly $2.8 million. The scheme ran from November 2017 to April 2019 - meaning it took about two years and a federal prosecution for the published numbers to be checked against reality. This is the case ChainRated exists to make unnecessary: performance that nobody replays is performance nobody verified.
