John Harrison VIP club1879 - fake balances, "computing power" to withdraw

Exit Scam Community Report
Reported Aug 15, 2026 Source: Reddit - r/CryptoScams

A Telegram VIP group selling daily crypto signals under a personal name, with an assistant who messages members every day. The balance members watch grow is a display and not a chain: the USDT credited to them is a token unconnected to the real Tether contract, and withdrawal is refused until the member "adds computing power" to unlock his own funds - a step that exists on no blockchain. Between May 2025 and March 2026 six people described the group from inside it. One lost about $130,000 in seven days after an early small withdrawal convinced him the group was real, and was then invited to a tier requiring $200,000. One left when the group stopped teaching and began sorting members by whether they could put in $50,000. The members who vouch for the group inside the group are part of it: the victim who checked reported that the 130+ other "invitees" and their screenshots of $800,000 balances were staged. By March 2026 the same operator was reported running under a new group name with a new assistant. Community reports, May 2025 - March 2026; the personal names are aliases.
