Markus Strategy (@markus_strategy) - honeypot tokens sold through free signals

A Telegram channel bought Instagram advertising, gave away free trading signals to assemble an audience, then began promoting tokens deployed by its own operator. The contracts were honeypots: buying works, selling does not, because the sell path is restricted to the creator's address. Between February and June 2024 five people described this pattern on Reddit, among them a member holding a token he could buy but not sell, and a member who identified the same operator moving to a fresh ticker weeks later. The signals were never the business - they were the cost of assembling buyers for a contract written to trap them. This is the rare claim a reader can settle alone and in advance: the sell restriction is in the contract, and the contract is public. Community reports, February-June 2024.
